AW60T Automatic Transaxle - Installation






INSTALLATION

NOTE: It is necessary to perform the re-learn procedure anytime the transmission is being replaced.

NOTE: Verify that the dowel pins are present in the engine before installing the transmission.

1. Using a suitable transmission jack, lift the transmission into position.




2. Install the lower transmission mounting bolts (1) and tighten to 60 Nm (44 ft.lbs.).
3. Install the lower transmission mounting bolts (2) and tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft.lbs.).





4. Install the upper transmission mounting bolts and tighten to 60 Nm (44 ft.lbs.).





5. Install new torque converter bolts and tighten in the following order:
- Step 1 - Snug tighten the torque converter bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
- Step 2 - Tighten the torque converter bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).





6. Install the torque converter access panel.
7. Install the engine and transmission as an assembly to the vehicle
8. Fill the transmission with fluid to the correct level , Procedures.
