Shift Cable - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Remove the battery tray Battery Tray - Removal
2. Disconnect the shift cable (1) from the manual shift lever.

NOTE: Inspect the retention clip for cracks, wear or damage, replace as necessary.

3. Disconnect the shift cable from the bracket (2) by holding the tabs (3) and squeezing together, walk the cable out of the bracket.
4. Remove the shifter assembly Transmission Shifter - Removal.





5. Unseat the shifter cable grommet (1) then push through the floor.
6. Raise the vehicle.





7. Remove the shifter cable (2) from the retaining clip (1).
8. Reposition the heat shield to allow for the removal of the cable.
9. Remove the cable from the vehicle.
