HESITATION - TIP-IN STUMBLE (2.8L)
LIGHT TRUCKS 1983-84 RANGER, 1984 BRONCO II
CALIBRATIONS: All 2.8L calibrations
The tip-in stumble may be attributed to a low fuel level setting in the carburetor fuel bowl.
The following procedure may reduce tip-in stumble. Check fuel level setting (specification is .810) using gauge tool No. T83L-9550-A. Follow the procedure in Section 24-25-10 of the 1983-84 Ranger Bronco II Truck Shop Manual and reset float level as necessary. Verify curb idle speed when the fuel level check is completed and the engine speed has stabilized.
