LIGHT TRUCK: 1983-87 E SERIES, F SERIES

ISSUE: The engine valley pan gasket for the 6.9L diesel requires sealer to be applied around the water ports prior to installation to prevent leaks.

Figure 8:

ACTION: If service is required, coat the bottom of the valley pan gasket (side facing cylinder head) at the eight (8) water port sealing areas with Ford gasket eliminator (E1FZ-19562-A), Figure 8.
