ISSUE:
Section 28-10 in the 1987 Light Truck Service Manual (Engine) incorrectly contains service information for Delco Remy Starters for 6.9L Diesel Engines. The actual starter for these engines is the Gear Reduction Starter.

Refer to the pages in this TSB article for revised Section 28-10: Starter, Gear Reduction.
