WHEEL BEARING - FRONT - ADJUSTING NUT TORQUE SPECIFICATION - SHOP MANUAL CORRECTION

LIGHT TRUCK: 1987-88 E-SERIES

ISSUE: The front wheel bearing adjusting nut torque specification as published in the 1987 and 1988 Light Truck Shop Manual, Volume A, Section 12-24-3, Figures 2 and 3 is incorrect.

ACTION: If service is required, torque the front wheel bearing adjusting nut to 22-25 ft.lbs. (30-33 N-m) and then back the adjusting nut off 1/8 turn as described in the Light Truck Shop Manual, Volume A, Section 11-10-1.
