ISSUE: An intermittent "ringing" noise heard coming from the engine compartment may be caused by the A/C compressor clutch. The A/C clutch will produce the "ringing" noise when it disengages if the air gap is set below the minimum air gap specification.
ACTION: Check and re-set the A/C compressor clutch air gap. The air gap must be set between .016" to .039".
