NOTE: MUTILATE AND SCRAP ALL STATIONARY GLASS REMOVED AS A RESULT OF THIS RECALL, FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE IN THE TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS.

PRIOR SERVICE PART REPLACEMENT:

DEALER STOCKED SERVICE PARTS

Review all 1988 calendar year service records to determine if you have sold or installed any sliding rear window assemblies (E2TZ-10422B30-A) or stationary glass components of sliding rear window assemblies (E2TZ-1042006-A). Owners whose vehicles have had such service replacements during 1988 must be contacted and provided with a copy of the owner letter.
NEW STOCK WITHIN DEALERSHIP:
Dealers are requested to purge all sliding rear window assemblies in which either of the stationary glass sections have all three of the above-identified codes. Dealers can return the purged stock for credit to the Wixom Carlite Warehouse address 50000 Grand River Expressway, Wixom, MI 48096. Purge the part number listed below:

NOTE: Mark container for the returned glass with a red "X" under the "CARLITE" warehouse mailing address.

All parts must be returned with a Form FPS-340, "Customer Request for Credit on Returned Parts and Accessories" coded L "Campaign Parts". To receive full credit to your parts account, the Form FPS-340 must be marked, "RETURNED PER INSTRUCTIONS IN SAFETY RECALL 88S52. Credit to your parts account will cover normal freight and parts costs.
