Fuel Sub-System


The fuel sub-system consists of a high pressure electric fuel pump which delivers fuel from the fuel tank, a fuel filter, fuel charging manifold assembly, a fuel pressure regulator, solid and flexible fuel supply and return lines.
The fuel charging manifold assembly incorporates four, six, or eight electrically controlled fuel injectors. One injector is mounted directly above each intake port in the lower intake manifold. All injectors are energized simultaneously and fire once every crankshaft revolution on four cylinder engines or one bank of four injectors is energized simultaneously, once every crankshaft revolution followed by the second bank of injectors the next crankshaft revolution on eight cylinder engines.
