Low One-Way Clutch Removal and Installation

LOW ONE-WAY CLUTCH REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

If the one-way clutch requires replacement, use the following procedures.

REMOVAL





1. Remove upper retaining ring and discard. Refer to Figure 19.

2. Remove brass bushing and discard. Refer to Figure 19.

3. Remove one-way clutch rollers, cage and lower retaining ring and discard. Refer to Figure 19.

INSTALLATION





1. Install new unitized plastic cage low one-way clutch assembly (F3TZ-7A089-C) into the rear of the reverse hub assembly. Refer to Figure 20.

2. Rotate the one-way clutch clockwise to lock tabs on plastic cage and fully seat the one-way clutch in place.

NOTE:
DO NOT USE THE BRASS BUSHINGS (7E194) OR THE UPPER AND LOWER RETAINING RINGS (377135-S). THESE PARTS ARE NOT USED WITH THE NEW PLASTIC CAGE LOW ONE-WAY CLUTCH.
