Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

1. Disarm airbag system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.
2. Remove ashtray assembly.
3. Remove two air conditioning vents.
4. Remove headlamp knob.
5. Remove two lower finish panels.
6. Remove ash tray support and lighter.
7. Remove steering column lower shroud panel.
8. Install suitable screwdriver, to cluster panel and pry panel outward in two locations. Do not scratch instrument panel.
9. Install radio removal tool No. T87P-19061-A or equivalent, to radio face plate, then depress tool one inch to release radio clips, then pull radio from panel using tool.
10. Disconnect antenna and radio electrical connectors, then remove.
11. Reverse procedure to install. Rearm airbag system.
