PROGRAM TIMING - Affected vehicles are eligible for this program through
June 30, 1997, regardless of mileage. (After June 30, 1997, a vehicle is still eligible for this program if it is within the 36 month/36,000 mile Bumper-to-Bumper warranty).
AFFECTED VEHICLES
Approximately 682 vehicles may have had incorrect service replacement RABS-modules installed. The affected vehicles are listed.
REASONS FOR THIS PROGRAM
An incorrect service replacement rear anti-lock brake system (RABS) module may have been installed on some of these vehicles. If the vehicle is equipped with the incorrect module, adverse braking characteristics and failure of the RABS light that (indicates a RABS failure) may occur.
SERVICE ACTION
To correct this condition, the RABS module is to be inspected for service part number. If the part number shows that an incorrect module was installed, the module will be replaced.
REFUNDS
When all or a portion of the repair covered by the program is paid by the owner and/or the dealer prior to the release of the program, both the owner and/or the dealer are eligible for a refund.
