Fuel Filter Water Draining

1. WARNING: THE VEHICLE MUST BE STOPPED WITH THE ENGINE OFF WHEN DRAINING THE FUEL FILTER WATER BOWL. FUEL CAN IGNITE IF FUEL FILTER IS DRAINED WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING OR VEHICLE IS MOVING.

NOTE: Diesel fuel can damage asphalt and other surfaces. Always place an appropriate container under the fuel filter water drain under the vehicle and dispose of the waste in accordance with all federal, state and local requirements.

2. Open the hood and place an appropriate container under the fuel filter water drain under the vehicle.







3. Open the fuel filter waterdrain valve release handle. Allow to drain for approximately 25 seconds or until clean fuel is observed.







4. Close the drain valve by resetting the handle to its original position.
5. Close the hood and remove the container from under the vehicle. Dispose of the waste properly.
