Conventional

REMOVAL
1. Remove the radio. For additional information, refer to Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc.

CAUTION:
^ Prior to removal of module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the scan tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the module once installed. For additional information, refer to Module Communications Network (Information Bus).
^ Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

2. Lower the steering wheel.







3. Remove the cluster finish panel bolts.







4. Pull back and position the cluster finish panel out of the way.







5. Disconnect the cluster finish panel
^ Disconnect the power point connector.
^ If equipped, disconnect the passenger air bag deactivation switch connector.







6. Remove the cluster finish panel.
1 Disconnect the headlight switch electrical connectors.
2 Remove the cluster finish panel.







7. Pull out the instrument cluster.
1 Remove the instrument cluster screws.
2 Pull out the instrument cluster.







8. If equipped, disconnect the transmission range indicator.
^ Push in the two clips and pull out the transmission range indicator. Position the indicator aside.







9. Remove the instrument cluster.
1 Disconnect the electrical connectors.
2 Remove the instrument cluster.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

CAUTION: Once the new module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the scan tool into the new module. For additional information, refer to Module Communications Network (Information Bus).
