Initial Inspection

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

Visual Inspection Chart:

3. Verify that the following systems are working properly:
^ charging system
^ fuel system
^ engine oiling system
^ engine cooling system
^ vehicle speed control system

If the system(s) are not working properly, refer to the appropriate Vehicle System.

4. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
5. If the fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to Symptom Chart. Diagnosis By Symptom
