Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

AIR CLEANER

REMOVAL







1. Loosen the clamp and separate the air cleaner outlet tube and resonator from the air cleaner.







2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.







3. Lift the air cleaner assembly from the ail cleaner tray.
4. Remove the MAF sensor from the outlet side of the air cleaner.







5. Separate the air cleaner inlet resonator from the air cleaner assembly.


INSTALLATION

1. CAUTION: The grommet used to seal the air cleaner housing at the extension must be fully seated. Failure to do so will result in unmetered air entering the engine.

NOTE: Use the alignment notch to correctly align the inlet side and outlet side of the air cleaner.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
