Normal Operation
The parking aid system is enabled when the vehicle ignition is in RUN and REVERSE is selected. The parking aid module supplies voltage to the parking aid sensors on circuit 1439 (BN/PK). The parking aid module supplies ground to the parking aid sensors on circuit 1440 (DG/YE). The parking aid module receives a signal from the parking aid sensors on circuits 1444 (DB/YE), 1443 (WH/LB), 1442 (DG/WH) and 1441 (WH/LG). The system can be disabled through the disable switch. A 750 Hz variable warning tone is generated from a parking aid speaker. The parking aid speaker increases the warning tone rate as the vehicle gets closer to an obstacle.

Possible Causes
- sensor alignment
- parking aid module
- circuit 140 (BK/PK) open or short to ground
- parking aid disable switch
- bumper cover
