PINPOINT TEST B: THE HORN IS ALWAYS ON

Normal Operation
The horn relay supply and switched voltage circuits are supplied by the central junction box (CJB) fuse 37 (15A). The horn relay is controlled by the vehicle security module or the horn switch through circuit 1 (DB). When the horn switch is pressed, the horn relay control circuit 1 (DB) is grounded on circuit 57 (BK) through the clockspring. The relay is then energized causing voltage to be applied, through the relay, to circuit 6 (YE/LG), enabling the horns to sound. The vehicle security module also grounds the horn relay control circuit 1 (DB) momentarily when the lock button on the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter is pressed twice, causing the horns to sound. The vehicle security module also grounds the horn relay control circuit 1 (DB) on then off if the panic button on the RKE transmitter is pressed, causing the horns to sound.

Possible Causes
- circuit 1 (DB) short to ground
- circuit 6 (YE/LG) short to voltage
- clockspring
- horn switch
- CJB
- vehicle security module
