Test D: The Intermittent Wiper Speed Does Not Operate Correctly

PINPOINT TEST D: THE INTERMITTENT WIPER SPEED DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

Normal Operation
Under normal operation, the front wiper motor receives open and ground inputs from the multi-function switch through circuits 1301 (YE), 1300 (PK), 680 (LB/OG) and 485 (PK/BK) to activate the wipers to the appropriate speeds. The run/park and high/low relays are contained in the wiper motor electronics. Mode of operation is dependent on the signal(s) received from the multi-function switch.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Inoperative front wiper motor
- Inoperative multi-function switch
