Test B: DTCs C1700, C1703, C1706 and C1709 - Parking Aid Sensor Circuit Failure Or Blockage

PINPOINT TEST B: DTCS C1700, C1703, C1706 AND C1709 - PARKING AID SENSOR CIRCUIT FAILURE OR BLOCKAGE

Normal Operation
The parking aid module (PAM) supplies voltage to the parking aid sensors on circuit LMP07 (BU/WH). The PAM supplies ground to the parking aid sensors on circuit RMP07 (GN/WH). The PAM receives a signal from the parking aid sensors on circuits VMP17 (YE/OG), VMP16 (YE/GY), VMP14 (WH/OG) and VMP15 (YE/GN).

DTC C1700 sets when the PAM senses an open on circuit LMP07 (BU/WH), circuit RMP07 (GN/WH) or circuit VMP15 (YE/GN), or a short to ground on circuit VMP15 (YE/GN).

DTC C1703 sets when the PAM senses an open on circuit LMP07 (BU/WH), circuit RMP07 (GN/WH) or circuit VMP17 (YE/OG), or a short to ground on circuit VMP17 (YE/OG).

DTC C1706 sets when the PAM senses an open on circuit LMP07 (BU/WH), circuit RMP07 (GN/WH) or circuit VMP14 (WH/OG), or a short to ground on circuit VMP14 (WH/OG).

DTC C1709 sets when the PAM senses an open on circuit LMP07 (BU/WH), circuit RMP07 (GN/WH) or circuit VMP16 (YE/GY), or a short to ground on circuit VMP16 (YE/GY).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Parking aid sensor(s)
- PAM
