Pinpoint Test S: Intermittent No High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) Communication, One Or More Modules Are Not Responding During Network Test

Normal Operation
- ABS module
- Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) (if equipped)
- Trailer Brake Control (TBC) module (if equipped)
- PCM
- Restraints Control Module (RCM)
- Auxiliary Heater Control Module (AHCM) (diesel engine only, if equipped)
- Transmission Control Module (TCM) (diesel engine only, if equipped)
- Electronic Variable Response Turbocharger (EVRT) actuator (diesel engine only)
- Instrument Cluster (IC)

In the event that either High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) circuit become open to any module on the network, unreliable network communication to all modules on the network may result.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- Wiring, terminals or connectors

PINPOINT TEST S: INTERMITTENT NO HS-CAN COMMUNICATION, ONE OR MORE MODULES ARE NOT RESPONDING DURING NETWORK TEST

NOTE: Various modules set network DTCs during this test procedure. Clear DTCs from all modules after the diagnostic procedure is completed.

NOTE: Failure to disconnect the battery when instructed will result in false resistance readings. Refer to Battery.
