Stabilizer Bar and Link - F-250, F-350









Removal and Installation

NOTICE: Suspension fasteners are critical parts because they affect performance of vital components and systems and their failure can result in major service expense. They must be replaced with the same part number or an equivalent part if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of these parts.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Remove and discard the stabilizer bar link upper nuts, washers and bolts.
- To install, tighten the new nut to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft).

3. Remove the stabilizer bar link lower nuts, washers, bolts and the stabilizer bar links.
- Discard the nuts, bolts and washers.

- To install, tighten the new nuts, bolts and washers to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft).

4. Remove the stabilizer bar bracket nuts, brackets and the stabilizer bar.
- Discard the nuts.

- To install, tighten the new nuts to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
