A/T - 700R4 & 2004R New Iron Pump Rings

SUBJECT: 700 R4 & 200 4R

Beginning April 28, 1987* (Julian date 118) all THM 700 R4 transmissions were produced with nodular iron vane rings.

The new iron pump rings can be used on any 1982 through 1987 THM 700 R4, and on any 1981 through 1987 THM 200 4R.

Past design rings can be used, but it is recommended that new iron pump vane rings be used when replacement of rings is necessary.
