SUBJECT: BULLETIN CORRECTION

IN JULY WE ISSUED A BULLETIN (SIL 86-14) CONCERNING A SHUDDER IN REVERSE CONDITION. THIS MAY OCCUR IN 1982-86 VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THM 700 R4 TRANSMISSIONS.

It has come to our attention that this reverse shudder problem be caused by circumstances other than those which can be corrected by following SIL 86-14.

Without getting technically involved in this correction bulletin ... let me say that the reverse shudder seems to be a valving problem that is down the circuit, past where a pressure gauge would be attached.
