Air Valve Spring Wind-Up

Fig. 17 Air valve spring wind-up adjustment:

Loosen lock screw, using a suitable hex wrench. Rotate tension adjusting screw counterclockwise until air valve partially opens, then turn screw clockwise until valve just closes, Fig. 17. Turn adjusting screw clockwise specified number of turns listed in Specifications Chart, then tighten lock screw. Apply lithium based grease to contact area.
