Disassemble

1. Set dial indicator on pinion and manually raise pinion, per figure. Endplay should be 0.009-.024 inch.

2. Mark top of pinion gears and location of carrier pins so they can be installed in their original positions.




3. Remove snap ring and retainer pinion pin, per figure.

4. Remove four pinion pins from carrier.

5. Remove pinions, thrust washers and roller needle bearings.

6. Clean all components.
