Shift Fork Replacement

Fig. 1 Exploded View Of Front Axle:

1. Remove shaft and tube assembly. Refer to, Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints/ Axle Shaft Assembly, Constant Velocity Type/ Service and Repair.
2. Remove shift lever (18), damper spring (17), fork (16) and clip (15), Fig. 1.
3. Remove spring (14) from carrier case. Ensure shim does not dislodge from output shaft.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Ensure clip is fully seated into groove on shift lever.
