Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Idle Air Control Valve:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove two bolts, and throttle cover.
2. Remove the IAC valve air intake hose. Disconnect the IAC electrical connector.
3. Remove the two coolant hoses from the IAC valve, two bolts, and remove the valve from the intake manifold.

INSTALLATION

1. Install the IAC valve to the intake manifold with a new gasket, the two mounting bolts, and tighten to 18-28 Nm (13.5-20 lb-ft).
2. Install the coolant hoses to the IAC valve and secure with a clamp.
3. Install the IAC electrical connector.
4. Install the air intake hose to the IAC valve, and secure with a clamp.
5. Install the throttle cover with both bolts, and tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft). Reinstall the negative battery cable.
