Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Adjusting TP Sensor:

Inserting Terminals:

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect throttle position sensor connector.
3. Remove throttle position sensor wire harness terminals from connector after unlocking terminal lock.
4. Remove throttle position sensor from throttle body.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install Throttle position sensor to throttle body. Fit sensor to throttle body in such a way that its adjusting holes are a little away from sensor mounting bolt holes and turn sensor clockwise so that those holes align. Then hand-tighten sensor mounting bolts in aligned holes.
2. Insert throttle position sensor terminal into connector and check to make sure that they are locked.

ADJUST:

3. Installation angle of throttle position sensor according to procedure described in item ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES, under THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR.
4. Connect negative battery cable.
