Centrifugal Advance Diagnosis
Centrifugal Advancer Inspection:
1.
Remove the
distributor cap.
2.
Check the centrifugal advance unit by turning the rotor clockwise by hand, then releasing it. It should return quickly and smoothly by spring force.
3.
If the centrifugal advance does NOT retun quickly and smoothly, the
distributor must be replaced.
