Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

NOTICE: Care must be used when handling coolant temperature sensor. Damage to coolant temperature sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.

REMOVAL:

1. Relieve coolant system pressure.
2. Ignition "OFF."
3. Air cleaner assembly.
4. Electrical connector.
5. CTS from engine.

INSTALLATION:

1. Coat thread of CTS with sealer P/N 9985253 or equivalent, torque to 25 N-m (18 lb. ft.).
2. Electrical connector.
3. Air cleaner assembly.
4. Replenish coolant system to proper level.
