Fluid Checking Procedure



Check transaxle fluid level every 7,500 miles, adding Dexron II automatic transmission fluid as necessary.
Change transaxle fluid and filter every 30,000 miles under normal driving conditions, or every 15,000 miles if vehicle is operated under severe conditions such as city driving during hot weather or driving over hilly or mountainous terrain.

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove drain plug at bottom of differential and drain fluid.
3. Remove oil pan and discard pan gasket.
4. Clean drain pan, then using a new gasket, install gasket and pan to transaxle. Torque pan bolts to 71 inch lbs.
5. Install drain plug and torque to 20 ft. lbs., then fill transaxle through oil filler tube with Dexron II automatic transmission fluid.
