^ If 70 ml (2.35 fl. oz.) of oil or less was removed from the compressor, then add 70 ml (2.35 fl. oz.) of new compressor oil (GM # 12345762) to the compressor through the discharge port.

^ If more than 70 ml (2.35 fl. oz.) of oil was removed from the compressor, then add that amount of new compressor oil (GM # 12345762) to the compressor through the discharge port.

New Compressor

All new compressors are shipped with a charge of 200 ml (6.70 fl. oz.) of compressor oil. Therefore, it is necessary to drain off some oil to reach the correct oil level prior to installation on the vehicle.

1. Drain the oil from the new compressor into a clean container through the discharge and suction ports.

2. If 70 ml (2.35 fl. oz.) of oil or less was drained from the old compressor, then add back 70 ml (2.35 fl. oz.) of oil to the new compressor through the discharge port.

3. [f more than 70 ml (2.35 fl. oz.) of oil was drained from the old compressor, then add back that amount of oil to the new compressor through the discharge port.
