Starter Motor: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then battery positive cable from starter.
2. On models with manual transaxle, disconnect ignition switch lead from starter solenoid.
3. On models with automatic transaxle, disconnect ignition switch lead from starter solenoid pigtail.
4. On all models, remove two starter motor mounting bolts, then the motor.
5. Reverse procedure to install, torque starter attaching bolts to 29 ft. lbs. and battery positive cable nut to 26 ft. lbs.
