Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

Note:
Care should be used when removing O2 sensor as damage will occur to the 02 sensor and its wire.

Important
O2 sensor may be difficult to remove at temperatures below 48°C (120°F).
Care should be used so as to not damage threads in exhaust manifold.

Remove or Disconnect:

Caution:
If exhaust manifold is hot care should be exercised when removing O2 sensor as to avoid personal injury.

1. Ignition "OFF."
2. Electrical connector.
3. O2 sensor from exhaust manifold.

Install or Connect

IMPORTANT: The O2 sensor comes with anti-seize coating on the new sensor. Care should be used as to not remove any of this coating.

1. O2 sensor to exhaust manifold.
^ Torque to 41 N-m (30 lb. ft.).
2. Electrical connector.
