Hazard Warning Lamps: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
The HAZ-HORN Fuse receives voltage at all times. When the Hazard switch is pressed to ON, voltage is applied through its closed contacts from the HAZ-HORN Fuse to the Turn/Hazard Flasher. The Turn/Hazard Flasher is grounded at G200. The Turn/Hazard Flasher contains a solid state timer/relay. When the Hazard Switch is pressed to ON, the solid state timer/relay receives a ground signal through the LH and RH Front and Rear Turn Lamps. When the timer/relay receives this signal, voltage flows through the Turn/Hazard Flasher and the Hazard Switch to the LH and RH Front and Rear Turn Lamps along with the LH and RH Turn Indicators. The LH and RH Front and Rear Turn Lamps are all permanently grounded. The solid state timer/relay will flash the Turn Lamps approximately 80-90 times per minute.
