Pressure Relief Valve

Inspect

Pressure Relief Valve:





^ Replace the pressure relief valve if oil leakage on or around it is observed.

Remove or Disconnect

Important
^ The following service procedure is intended for a compressor that has been removed from the vehicle.

1. Remove pressure relief valve with a socket wrench of proper size.

2. Discard pressure relief valve and O-ring seal.

Install or Connect

1. Install new O-ring seal. Lubricate it with PAG oil.

2. New pressure relief valve to compressor.

Tighten
^ Pressure relief valve to 12 to 18 N.m (106.2 lb. in. to 13 lb. ft.).
