Converter Housing, Pump Assembly and Reverse Clutch

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

^ Tools Required:
- J 7004 Slide Hammer
- J 23029 Converter Housing Seal Remover

1. Converter housing oil seal (204) using J 7004 and J 23129, if necessary.
2. Seven outer bolts (203).
3. Loosen five inner bolts (202).
4. O-ring seal (318) from input shaft (319).

CAUTION: If the O-ring seal is not removed, the second clutch assembly and the third clutch assembly will come out with the converter housing. The O-ring seal may shear while the parts are being held, allowing the second and the third clutch assemblies to fall, causing personal injury.

5. Converter housing (205) with the pump assembly (222) and reverse clutch assembly (228).
6. Selective thrust washer (2243.
