Fig.19 Interlock Cable Adjustment:

Adjust shift cable as follows:
1. Rotate key release plate and insert small screwdriver through key release and hold in position, Fig. 19.
2. Allow retaining spring to position the interlock cable bracket.
3. Tighten interlock cable nut to specifications. After tightening cable nut and manual selector lever in Park position, ensure ignition switch will turn from "ACC" to "Lock" position and key can be removed from ignition switch.
4. Verify ignition cannot be turn from "ACC" to "Lock" in any other manual selector position.
