Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove transmission fluid pan and three fluid pipes, "A," "C," and "D." Refer to Transmission Filter. Service and Repair
2. Disconnect shift solenoid electrical connectors.

3. Remove brake applying cover, then shift solenoid assembly, Fig. 14.

INSTALLATION

1. Install shift solenoid and gasket on lower valve body, then tighten to specifications.
2. Connect shift solenoid electrical connectors.
3. Install brake applying cover and gasket, then tighten to specifications.
4. Apply thin film of automatic transmission fluid to fluid pipe O-rings.
5. Install fluid pipes in the following order, "D," C," then "A."
6. Reverse removal procedure to install.
