Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove transmission fluid pan and three fluid pipes, "A," "C," and "D." Refer to Transmission Filter. Service and Repair
2. Disconnect TCC solenoid electrical connectors.

3. Remove two TCC solenoid retaining bolts from lower valve body, then remove TCC solenoid, Fig. 14.

INSTALLATION

1. Install TCC solenoid and gasket on lower valve body, then tighten bolts to specifications.
2. Connect TCC solenoid electrical connectors.
3. Apply thin film of automatic transmission fluid to fluid pipe O-rings.
4. Install fluid pipes in the following order, "D," "C", then "A."
5. Reverse removal procedure to install.
