Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Description:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) electrical connection.
3. One bolt and VSS from top of transaxle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. VSS to transaxle and secure with one bolt. Tighten VSS bolt to 8 Nm (6 lb ft).
2. VSS electrical connector.
3. Negative (-) battery cable. Tighten negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 5.5 Nm (4 lb. ft.)..
