Control Assembly: Service and Repair

Heater Control Unit Control Cables:






Remove or Disconnect

1. Center console trim bezel.
2. Radio.
3. Grasp firmly on heater control unit lever knobs and pull them out.
4. One screw and right-side I/P cluster lower cover.
5. Gently pry-out heater face plate.
6. Heater face plate illumination lamp socket.
7. A/C switch (if equipped).
8. Temp, mode, and fresh/recirc control cables at heater case and blower case.
9. Two screws from beater control unit.
10. Blower switch electrical connector.
11. Remove heater control unit from I/P through radio opening.
12. Blower switch from heater control unit (if required).

Install or Connect

1. Blower switch to heater control unit (if removed).
2. Heater control unit to I/P.
3. Blower motor electrical connector.
4. Heater control unit; secure with two screws.
5. Temp, mode, and fresh/recirc control cables.
6. A/C switch (if equipped).
7. Illumination lamp socket to heater face plate.
8. I/P cluster lower cover; secure with one screw.
9. Heater control unit lever knobs.
10. Radio.
11. Center console trim bezel.

Adjust

^ Temperature, mode and fresh/recirc control cables. Refer to Temperature Control Cable Adjustment, Mode Control Cable Adjustment, and Fresh/Recirc Control Cable Adjustment.
