Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative (-) battery cable. Refer to Starting and Charging.
2. VSS electrical connector.
3. One retaining bolt and VSS from transaxle.

Inspect
- VSS O-ring for cuts or damage. Replace as necessary.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. VSS into transaxle case; secure with retaining bolt.

Tighten
- VSS retaining bolt to 23 N.m (17 lb. ft.).

2. VSS electrical connector.
3. Negative (-) battery cable. Refer to Battery.
