Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair



Remove or Disconnect

1. Discharge and recover refrigerant. Refer to Discharging, Adding Oil, Evacuating and Charging the Refrigeration System.
2. Negative (-) battery cable.
3. A/C dual pressure switch electrical connector.
4. A/C dual pressure switch from receiver/dryer.

Install or Connect

1. A/C dual pressure switch to receiver/dryer.

Tighten

^ Dual pressure switch to 18 N.m. (13 lb. ft.).

2. A/C dual pressure switch electrical connector.
3. Negative (-) battery cable.
4. Evacuate and recharge air conditioning system. Refer to Discharging, Adding Oil, Evacuating and Charging the Refrigeration System.
5. Operate A/C system and check for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Refrigerant Leak Testing.
