EGR Backpressure Transducer: Service and Repair

Description:






REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) solenoid vacuum valve electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the two vacuum hoses from the EGR solenoid vacuum valve.
4. Remove the two screws and the EGR solenoid vacuum valve from the bracket.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the EGR solenoid vacuum valve to the bracket and secure with two screws.
2. Connect the two vacuum hoses to the solenoid vacuum valve.
3. Connect the EGR solenoid vacuum valve electrical connector.
4. Connect the negative (-) battery cable. Tighten the negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
