C-Pillar Outer Trim Replacement

C-Pillar Outer Trim Replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body or the related parts.

1. While gently pulling out the C-pillar outer trim (A), cut the double-sided adhesive tape (B) at the rear edge of the trim.

2. Open the rear door. From inside the door, detach the clip (C) with a clip remover.

3. Close the rear door. Detach the clips (D) with a clip remover, then remove the C-pillar outer trim.

4. Carefully remove the remaining double-sided adhesive tape from the trim and the quarter glass, and clean the trim and the quarter glass surface with isopropyl alcohol. Attach the new double-sided adhesive tape to the trim.

5. If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

6. Hold up the C-pillar outer trim, and fit the clips into the holes in the body, then push on the trim until the clips snap into place, and the double-sided adhesive tape sticks securely.
