Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair

1. Run engine at idle speed and turn on A/C for a few minutes.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Discharge refrigerant from system.
4. Disconnect compressor clutch lead.
5. Disconnect suction and discharge hoses from compressor and cap all openings.
6. Loosen compressor adjusting and mount bolts and nuts, Fig. 3.
7. Remove belt cover and lift belt off pulley.
8. Remove mount bolts and remove compressor, Fig. 3.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
