Deceleration Valve: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove air cleaner cover, start engine, and allow to idle.
2. Place finger over air inlet tube.
3. If there is vacuum, replace anti-afterburn valve and retest.
4. If there is no vacuum, quickly raise engine speed to 3,500 RPM and close the throttle suddenly.
5. If there is no vacuum, locate and remove blockage, then retest.
6. If there is still no vacuum, replace the anti-afterburn valve and retest.
