NOTE:
- The numbers in the table show the troubleshooting sequence.
- Before troubleshooting:
- Check the No.1 (1OA) fuse in the dash fuse box, No.34 (1OA) fuse in the main fuse box and two 30A fuses in the automatic shoulder seat belt fuse holder.
- Check that warning light comes on for about 6 seconds when the driver's door is opened and the ignition switch is turned on. If no warning light comes on, check for an open circuit or blown bulb.
- Move the car to your dealer's back lot or some other quiet place where you won't be a road hazard. Drive the car between 10 and 15 MPH, lean forward against the shoulder belt and abruptly apply the brakes, not hard, just enough to dip the front end. You should feel the belt lock as the front end dips. If the shoulder belt locks, its locking mechanism is working.
